Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings

From the desk of Mike Passamonte; Team President

New faces.  Same results.

Well the Summer 2002 season kicked off this past Sunday in grand fashion.

The All Stars once again swept the opening week of softball but this time

they did so with a host of new faces.

Of the 15 players on the opening day roster only 7 were held over from

Summer 2001.  With the core still intact the additions of quality players at

key positions will help bring the All Stars back to the top.

Brian Gallagher was the most noticeable addition at SS.  Batting leadoff,

Brian provided the spark needed at the top of the lineup as well as a

Spectacular glove in the field.  Third base is now occupied in part by Rick

Suflay and Matt Brownstein who will both help solidify the one position which

Has plagued the All Stars in years past.  Rick brings with him a nice bat and a great

Attitude.  Bringing in Jeff Kwiatkowski, Matt Reece, and Michael Rooney have given the

All Stars chemistry, which was much needed in 2001.   Jeff provided solid

leadership on the diamond and worked wonders with veteran Pitchers Matt

Pomara and Mike Schroeder.

All in all a great start of the season.  The new All Stars will no doubt look

To this season as a new beginning and hopefully restore the glory to the

ABA's most storied Franchise.

.

Sincerely,

MikeP
